Travis Scott says he’s trying to ‘push the sonics’ with his new album

He tells Variety in a new cover story that he’s hard at work on a new album.Scott says that for the follow-up to 2023’s Utopia, he’s “constantly pushing myself to push the sonics to try to make something that I haven’t made before.”He tells Variety he’s been making music with his stage show in mind. “I’m like, OK, I need to double down on trying to make something that can reach the person that’s all the way back in the bowl, so how do I reach them like the person that’s right next to me,” he says. “So that’s what I’m on — trying to elevate the show to a more theater aspect.”“Stay tuned on how that’s going to happen,” he adds. “Utopia was supposed to be a play. Rosalind Eleazar stars as the titular actress Misty Green in the movie."Years after her Hollywood breakthrough, a talented actress whose career has stalled fights for her second act," according to the film's official description.The movie also stars Rock, Adam Driver, Daniel Kaluuya, Anna Kendrick and Topher Grace.Its trailer finds Misty in search of an acting job despite opportunities being few and far between."You're not exactly an unknown, Misty," Grace's character tells her. He then says Hollywood is a little racist, it's a little sexist, "But don't act like you never had a shot."Rock most recently directed the film Top Five, which was released in 2014. He wrote and starred in the movie, which also starred J. B. Smoove, Kevin Hart, Sherri Shepherd, Michael Che, Tracy Morgan, Jay Pharoah, Leslie Jones, Cedric the Entertainer, Jerry Seinfeld, Adam Sandler and Whoopi Goldberg.His other directorial efforts include 2007's I Think I Love My Wife and 2003's Head of State. They share a deep love and respect for each other and will always support one another whenever possible.”Carthen and Vansteenberghe were the Love Island USA season 7 runners-up, coming in second place behind winners Amaya Espinal and Bryan Arenales.They originally coupled up in a surprise twist. After the pair were both individually dumped from Casa Amor, they were given the chance to return to the villa — but only if they decided to couple up with each other. Carthen and Vansteenberghe decided to give it a shot, leading to them ultimately making it to the finale.Love Island USA season 8 ended its run on July 12.
