Now also on-air in Myrtle Beach on 98.9 and 102.3 FM!We went on the air in 1984 when a bunch of opera lovers we lovingly refer to as "spunky pumpkins" started WHQR. Over the last 26 years WHQR has grown to include classical music, jazz, blues, national news and information programs as well as local news and music. The station carries its awesomeness off-air as well as on with programs like Cinematique, Soup to Nuts Live! and Prologue.
