REC-FM Entertain / Inform / Support REC is actively involved in furthering the Low Power FM radio service and other radio spectrum issues. REC Networks has had a long history of entertainment, information and support. In the 1980's and 1990's, REC was involved in recorded telephone entertainment in the Los Angeles area as well as interactive voice systems that permitted users to socialize. In some ways, REC was involved with some of the first social networking systems but this was long before the Internet was a consumer product. In the past 2 decades, REC has been involved with various issues around a citizen's access to the radio spectrum. The highlights of REC"s advocacy and services revolve around the Low Power FM (LPFM) radio service. To this day, REC Networks remains an ally to the LPFM service and the grassroots organizations who are organizing and operating these stations. REC Networks also operates J1 Radio, an internet radio station playing today's hits from Japan. J1 can be found at http://j1fm.com http://recnet.com
