WRPI - The Upstate Underground

WRPI is the campus radio station at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute . We broadcast 365 days a year at 10,000 effective watts from our tower in North Greenbush, New York, which gives WRPI an approximate listening radius of 75 miles. Our offices and studios are located on the Rensselaer campus in the Darrin Communications Center. Our programming includes a wide range of alternative and experimental music, cultural and public affairs programs, live local bands, special events and sports simulcasts. The Upstate Underground - RPI's Student-Run Radio StationWRPI is a 10,000 watt radio station run entirely by RPI students. Our airwaves are free-format, so we play anything we want! WRPI is located on the first floo…r of the DCC (near the JEC tunnel) and is open to all RPI students. Our members can get involved with live sports announcing, help produce our many in-studio performances, broadcast remotely from special events around campus, and so much more. Becoming a DJ is easy!
